The Robin Hood Caravan Park is a nice small park making it an ideal choice for those holidaymakers who want to enjoy a peaceful break away from it all in the countryside. Located on the outskirts of the North Yorkshire village of Slingsby with the famous stately home Castle Howard nearby where Brideshead Revisited was filmed.

The only facilities to be found on the park are a small shop with an off-licence and a Children’s play area. There are no bars or restaurants on the park but there are plenty of lovely little villages nearby where you can enjoy a home-cooked meal in one of the local pubs or restaurants and receive a warm welcome from the locals.

A 10 mile drive from the park will take you into the heart of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park where you will be able to see some stunning landscapes whilst walking one of the many nature trails available, or a 15 mile drive in another direction will take you to the historic town of York with its abundance of attractions worth a visit including the Castle and the Jorvik Viking Museum. I was booked for 24th-28th October 2011, we came home after less than 1 day, I am absolutely disgusted, we booked a static caravan, for 4 people and 1 dog. We were given an old caravan, no microwave, toaster, not enough cutlery, light bulbs missing, no hoover, nothing to clean with, skylight above the kitchen leaked overnight during rain, then it all fell apart. I was up at 3am using MY towels to try and dry up the floors, which were soaked. The Caravan had not been cleaned before our arrival. We complained and were met by a stinking attitude from owners, asked for refund and eventually got one, but they didnt refund whole amount. They had clearly put people with dogs in this disgusting caravan while non pet owners are given luxury caravans. Would not recommend, would never go back. Disgraceful waste of my week. I even had to go and buy glasses to drink from, there were only 2, frying pans....there were none, television was minute old portable, while other vans had large plasma tv's, utter disgrace!! I am so annoyed!
